You will find below a large amount of information regarding the different stages of the treatment journey. This involves initial consultations, discussion of various management options and finally putting your choice into action. Yorkshire Gynaecology operates out of private hospitals based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Find out more below.
The consultation process allows you to meet your doctor to discuss how best they can help. This will involve asking questions regarding what symptoms you may be experiencing, any examination deemed appropriate and then finally discussing a personalised management plan.
This may involve the need for further diagnostic tests (such as blood tests or imaging), which can be organised quickly.
More than one consultation may be required in order to come to a possible diagnosis.
After any treatments follow up consultations can also be offered. All consultations take place in state-of-the-art prvate hospitals, whose details can be viewed below.
Treatments can be seperated into medical management (for example with prescription medicines) and/or surgical procedures.
Some conditions do not require any treatments. Prior to any treatments, all patients will be required to have a consultation.
If you choose to undergo a surgical procedure, be assured that every step of the process will be explained fully to you. This includes any necessary pre-assessment, the procedure itself and follow up. There is of course risk with any procedure and these will also be explained to you in depth in order that you can make an informed decision.
All treatments are carried out in fully-equiped private hospitals, whose details can be found below. If your procedure will require an anaesthetic (to be put to sleep), you will receive further information from a dedicated private Consultant Anaesthetist.
